| 3 Weeks (and a few days) to go and I feel great! |

I actually felt pretty awful most of last week, a bit week in the afternoon hours and crashing early at night at around 8:30. But....Easter Sunday was upon us and I decided that if my weigh in on Sunday morning allowed it, that I would enjoy myself. So my weigh in came in and I was right on target, I lost about 1 more pound and my BF was now under 5% (see below). Looking back to when I last competed 2 years ago I am 2 pounds heavier and at lower BF…this is also a sharp contrast from last weeks results which for me were a disappointment. ![]() Anyway, I have to tell you what I ate for Easter. My breakfast and mid morning snack were the same but then came Lunch. Plenty of Turkey, white meat….good! and then it was downhill from there. Tons of stuffing, cranberry sauce, mash potato & gravy….2 servings worth piled onto my plate! Then I let my stomach settle down for about an hour and then I attacked the dessert table, 5 chocolate chip cookies, ½ of a 9 inch apple pie and a “very” large slice of soft doe chocolate chip pie...ohhhh, was this soooo good!! I had so much energy for the next few hours, I felt great! A little guilty but none the less I felt great. I guess the little guilt I had made me go out and work on digging some grass up for ½ hour straight non-stop for my son’s new playground set. Now it is Monday morning and guess what, I feel great!! I don’t know how much longer this Carb rush is going to last but I am taking advantage of it. Monday morning my chest workout was the best and strongest it has been in 4 weeks and doing 25 minutes of moderate paced cardio was a breeze. I will however, be toning it down a bit at lunch today. Instead of my usual rice and chicken, it will be a large Salad and Turkey (white meat of course). I do hope my carb rush will last until tomorrow, Leg day, because I would sure love to blast through them at least one more time without feeling so trashed after. If all goes well for my weigh in on next Sunday…guess what, next Sunday is my Greek Orthodox Easter with my side of the family and I will be doing it all over again!!! Well, it is now Tuesday and I feel about the same I did last week at this time. I was hoping to get my legs done today by energy level wasn't the greatest plus I woke up a bit late. Shoulders was todays routine and once I did wake up my energy level did as well, I added 25 minutes of cardio, had some time to do some ab work and now I am at work and ready to go. I do feel great, after all I just had my Oatmeal breakfast. Today I will also be ordering some self tanners plus some competition "Pro Tan" as well....you gotta look nice and dark under those lights on stage if you want to look your best!
