Well I took my BF and it was good news, I was able to drop to 7.5% and maintain my current weight of 167. So I should be happy with that seeing my goal will be 3.5% at 160-164 pounds. Last Sunday was also the start of posing lessons with WNBF Pro Nancy Andrews. Now, I already know how to pose but after the first lesson I realised how rusty I am as well as some tips that I may have forgotten. To be honest with you I wasn't ready for this first day, I thought most of it would be more of an introduction to posing but I was wrong and we (about 10 others) went straight into hitting our poses just as though we were on stage. I have to highly recommend that if you wish to do well and look as though you are prepared then committing yourself to something like taking lessons is a must have for good stage presence. It is now Tuesday, two days later and I am still in pain...my calves and my quads still feel as though they had a rough outing. Tomorrow is my leg day and I may have to postpone that one more day for full muscle recovery to take place. My eating habits are starting to stabilize. Right now my goal is to make sure I am getting enough protein in my diet as I drop carbs a bit and the easiest way for me to do that is to substitute my 2 protein bars during the day with 1 scoop of whey protein and 1/2 serving of almonds. Also, 3 nights a week my dinner is a large salad with Chicken, slice of light cheese and fat free dressing...the other 4 nights may consist of a can of tuna with one Whole Wheat wrap or...Chicken with 1 cup of cooked pasta...or even a Met-RX protein drink. Each week as I get nearer to competition day I will clean up my act a bit. Until next week, see ya! |
