Is Gelatin of any nutritional value?
That is a good question so I had to do some research. What I found is that the only nutritional value Gelatin may have is that it is made out of proteins from the skin and bones of dead cows! pretty gross but it has properties that you are aware of that allows it to create a gel like substance when water is added then cooled down to below or at room temperature. What is happening is that the protein structure of the gelatin is trapping the water inside of it when cooled.
Should I eliminate Fat from my diet ?
We need Fat to burn Fat, ever hear that said? It is the "good" fats that we are talking about, the Omega 3's and 6's that come from Flax seed, almonds, Salmon and various other plants and fish. These kind of fats in limited amounts will not be stored in your body as fat but will be used by your heart and brain to function more efficiently. There are studies out there that also prove that these type of good fats can aid in breaking down those "stubborn" brown fats that are so hard to remove.
